Netflix’s original series Atypical came out a couple of months ago, and if you haven’t watched it yet, please watch it! A family dramedy, Atypical was perfectly balanced between drama, comedy, family relationships, and the awkwardness of high school. I loved that this show made talking about people on the spectrum feel like a more comfortable and tangible topic of conversation, definitely chipping away at that taboo. As a Netflix show, it can reach a pretty wide audience, and I feel like most people would enjoy this show, regardless of what they typically watch. I had a hard time not binging it in one sitting, but managed to stretch it to two. I’m jealous of any of you who still get to watch this for the first time, and I can’t wait for them to make a second season. Please watch it!
