This is one of the absolute cutest books I’ve read in a while. Penny has bad luck, or so she says. She lost her job and her apartment in the same day, and very few things seem to go well for her. However, she remains optimistic in spite of it all, and has a very odd but chipper personality.
Super duper fluffy, but the relationships were great. There’s a really cool villain who happens to be her 12-year-old boss at the laundromat, and I found the final fight scene to be ridiculous and fantastic.
I like that Penny is just snarky Penny. She seemed, in a way, similar to how I present myself, although probably a bit more forward than I am. She goes about her life un-apologetically, and surprisingly, things tend to work out okay for her, despite her “bad luck.”
