Volume Seven felt like a very standalone/condensed story within the larger story arc, and would be an okay place for a new reader to try out if they didn’t want to read the whole series. However, as a segment of the overall plot, Vol. 7 was PHENOMENAL! I loved the character development, particularly of young Hazel. She’s becoming such a fascinating individual, and I’m beginning to see her more as the person she grows into as the narrator. It’s awesome! Marko and Alana’s love story persists, and they continue to make me so happy in their relationship.
The new creatures strike me as the Ewoks of the Saga universe. They weren’t my favorite, but they were cute and quirky with an oddly deepset bloodlust. I definitely enjoyed this volume, can’t wait to get on to the next!
