The second installment in the Scott Pilgrim series really picked up the pace! With lots of fight scenes and internal drama amongst the group of friends, this book was quick moving. In fact, some of the graphics happened so fast I had to slow down in order to catch what was happening. I wasn’t overly worried about the moments I found a bit confusing.
It was a bit weird that Scott didn’t break up with Knives Chau right away, and I have a feeling that will come back to bite him later on in the story. In fact, there was quite a bit of scene setting that no doubt will play out later on.
One of my favorite scenes was a battle that took place in the Reference Library, and that for sure looked like a library I’d want to visit! It was huge! Knives Chau turns out to be somewhat of a bad-ass, and apparently Ramona’s a decent fighter herself.
